The E-Waste World, Battery Recycling, and Metal Recycling Conference & Expo 2024 successfully concluded. The event took place from June 26 to 27 at Messe Frankfurt, Germany, bringing together leading decision-makers, making it a central meeting point for professionals in the fields of electronic waste, battery recycling, and metal recycling.

Participants came from over 65 countries, with more than 70% from the EU. The three most represented countries were Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. Compared to the previous year, the event tripled in size and moved from Hall Forum to Hall 5.1 in 2023 to meet the growing demand. The sectors of electronic waste, battery recycling, and associated material cycles in the metal sector are already developing very dynamically. The concepts and solutions presented at the expo are of extreme importance for a successful sustainable transformation. Particularly useful is that the topics are conveyed on multiple levels: through presentations in the conference area, at the booths with concrete exhibits, and in direct conversations during the extensive opportunities for professional exchange and networking.

Exhibitors rated the event very positively. A representative from Saeplast commented: “We are actively exploring opportunities in the e-waste market, focusing on both battery recycling and metal recycling. Our journey led us to the E-Waste World Conference & Expo in Frankfurt, and it was an incredible experience! The event was a fantastic platform for us to gather valuable information and gain deeper insights into the needs and dynamics of this important industry. It was great to meet so many passionate professionals and exchange ideas with them, who visited our booth and shared their knowledge and experiences with our sales team.”

Strong Support for Trans World Events

The organizer, Trans World Events, received great support for its concept, which will be implemented again next year. It is already apparent that the event will be larger than its predecessor. Amanda Tring, International Head of Marketing, noted: “From the conversations with exhibitors and visitors to the event, the excitement and willingness to explore new solutions and ideas were palpable, sparking inspiration to seize new opportunities. The feedback from our participants was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the quality of our international exhibitors who presented specialized recycling solutions. It is truly unique to meet so many like-minded companies and connect people from around the world with a common goal – advancing and developing the recycling industry and this remarkable community. I am excited about the impact of the event over the year and can’t wait for the multitude of ideas and investments from the expo to bear fruit.”

The next E-Waste World/Battery Recycling/Metal Recycling is scheduled for June 11-12, 2025, at Messe Frankfurt in Hall 12.0 and will cover an area of 10,000 square meters. The conference with four thematic areas will also be held near the main hall to facilitate an easy transition between the expo and the educational platform.

With 70% of the exhibition space for 2025 already sold, interest at the fairground was palpable. The jointly organized conference and expo event will continue its growth trajectory and offer even more opportunities for industry leaders to network, pool resources, and innovate further. Next year, over 3,500 professionals, more than 300 exhibitors, and over 130 speakers are expected on June 11-12, 2025, at Messe Frankfurt in Hall 12.0 to create an even larger and more influential event.
