At IFAT 2024, LINETECHNOLOGY GmbH presented SORT FLUID, a pioneering technology for dry float-sink sorting that has been specially developed for technically demanding applications. This innovative solution enables efficient material separation based on density without the need to use liquids, making the process much simpler and more environmentally friendly.
Versatile conveyor technology and robust components
SORT FLUID impresses with its universally applicable external belt conveyors, which are available in two different lengths and can be optimally integrated within the BLUELINE. The system uses highly efficient drum motors that are not only low-maintenance, but also extremely robust and reliable. To reduce dust emissions, optional extraction hoods can be installed to ensure a clean working environment.
Modern control and process control
An outstanding feature of the SORT FLUID system is the decentralized IT-based control and process monitoring. This is done wirelessly using a tablet (BLUE PANEL) and therefore offers flexible and user-friendly operation. The system is designed as an all-in-one solution and is suitable for all BLUELINE constellations.
Technical specifications and ease of installation
The conveyor technology of the SORT FLUID system enables safe bulk material transport even with a belt inclination of 35 degrees. This is achieved by using a corrugated edge belt with cleats. Another advantage is the tool-free assembly of the external belt conveyors thanks to a quick coupling system and foldable catch arms with snap lock.
With a total weight of 9,500 kg and dimensions of 6,050 x 2,450 x 2,700 mm, the system is compact and powerful. The highest sound pressure level is 82.7 dB(A) at a distance of one meter from the module surface in empty operating mode. The connected load is 3N ~ 400 V / 63 A / 50 Hz.
Efficient sorting process
The core of the SORT FLUID technology is the density separation cut at around 4.5 t/m³, which enables precise separation of light and heavy goods. The discharge ramps are equipped with interchangeable sieve inserts, which ensures a high degree of flexibility. Fan rollers ensure that floating heavy material is submerged under the bed material surface, while the bed material is conveyed in an efficient circulation system.
